Paneer Makhani recipe

aneer Makhani, also known as Paneer Butter Masala, is a popular vegetarian dish from North India. Here's how to make it:


Ingredients:


200 grams paneer, cut into cubes

2 tbsp butter

1 onion, chopped

2 tomatoes, chopped

1 tsp ginger paste

1 tsp garlic paste

1 tsp red chili powder

1 tsp coriander powder

1/2 tsp turmeric powder

1/2 tsp garam masala powder

1/2 tsp kasuri methi (dried fenugreek leaves)

Salt to taste

1/2 cup heavy cream

1 tbsp honey

2 tbsp chopped coriander leaves

Instructions:


Heat butter in a pan and sauté chopped onions until they become translucent.


After adding the ginger-garlic paste, cook for a minute.


Sauté the diced tomatoes until they become soft.


Combine the red chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, garam masala powder, kasuri methi, and salt in a mixing bowl. Cook for 2-3 minutes after well mixing.


Add heavy cream and honey. Mix well and cook for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.


Add paneer cubes and mix well so that the sauce coats the paneer evenly.


Cook for another 2-3 minutes until the paneer becomes soft and tender.

Serve hot with naan, roti, or rice and garnished with chopped coriander leaves.
