Palak Chicken (Spinach Chicken Recipe)

 


Palak chicken, also known as spinach chicken, is a delicious and healthy recipe that combines the flavors of spinach and chicken in a creamy curry. Here is a recipe for making palak chicken:


Ingredients:


500g boneless chicken, cut into bite-size pieces

2 cups spinach leaves, washed and chopped

2 medium-sized onions, finely chopped

2-3 garlic cloves, minced

1 tablespoon ginger paste

1/2 cup tomato puree

1/2 cup heavy cream

1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder

1/2 teaspoon cumin powder

1/2 teaspoon coriander powder

1/2 teaspoon garam masala

Salt to taste

2 tablespoons oil

Instructions:


Heat oil in a pan and add chopped onions. Saute until onions are translucent.


Add minced garlic and ginger paste. Saute for a minute.


Add tomato puree and cook for 2-3 minutes until the oil separates.


Salt, garam masala, cumin, coriander, and turmeric powder should be added. Mix well.


Add the chicken pieces and sauté them until they are evenly browned.

Add chopped spinach and cook until wilted.


Add heavy cream and simmer for 5-7 minutes until the chicken is cooked through.


Adjust seasoning to taste.


Serve hot with rice or naan.


Note: You can also use bone-in chicken pieces instead of boneless chicken. Adjust the cooking time accordingly. You can also add more cream for a creamier consistency.
