Soya Chilli recipe

Soya Chilli is a delicious and healthy vegetarian version of the popular Indo-Chinese Chilli Chic

ken. Here's how to make it:


Ingredients:


1 cup soya chunks

1 onion, sliced

1 green bell pepper (capsicum), sliced

1 red bell pepper (capsicum), sliced

2-3 green chilies, sliced

2 tbsp corn flour

1 tbsp all-purpose flour (maida)

1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste

1 tsp red chili powder

1 tsp cumin powder

1 tsp coriander powder

1/2 tsp garam masala powder

2 tbsp tomato ketchup

1 tbsp soy sauce

1 tbsp vinegar

Salt to taste

Oil for frying

For garnish:


Spring onion greens, sliced

Instructions:

Boil the soya chunks in water for 5-7 minutes, or until tender. Drain and squeeze any extra water out.


Corn flour, all-purpose flour, ginger-garlic paste, red chilli powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder, and salt should be combined in a mixing bowl. To form a thick ba, add water.tter.


Dip the soya chunks in the batter and coat well.


Heat oil in a pan and fry the soya chunks until golden brown. Set place on a paper towel to drain.


In another pan, heat 1 tbsp oil and sauté sliced onions and green chilies for a minute.


Add sliced bell peppers and sauté for another 2-3 minutes until they become tender.


Add tomato ketchup, soy sauce, vinegar, and salt. Mix properly and cook for 1 to 2 minutes.


Add the fried soya chunks and mix well so that the sauce coats the soya chunks evenly.


Garnish with sliced spring onion greens and serve hot with steamed rice or noodles.
